Blue Valley Heating & Cooling conducting a thermal conductivity (TC) test for a middle school in Colorado.
TC testing is great for larger projects where knowing the exact soil conductivity characteristics can help optimize the ground loop sizing for geothermal projects.
The tests usually take 36 to 48 hours to conduct and consist of a 300 to 400’ borehole in conjunction with the testing equipment itself. The borehole can typically be used later in the actual installation.
