This house is a 2,100 square foot, split-level home in northeast Boulder, built in 1969.
Valley Geothermal (now Blue Valley Heating & Cooling) installed a WaterFurnace E-series to replace the existing furnace. The system is still running strong after 5 years and cut the heating and cooling energy use by over 70%. The geothermal unit also features a hot water “desuperheater”, which, in conjunction with a new Conservationist water tank, has cut the domestic hot water energy use by approximately 50%.
